Sub-zones merge

Sub-zone 5 in Malinta had been merged with sub-zone 1 - Karuhatan, both in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila while sub-zone 4 in Minuyan Proper was merged with sub-zone 2 of Gumaoc, both in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, consolidating DCF into three sub-zones upon decision by pastor Joseph in consultation with the respective members and local leaders of said sub-zone churches. The decision freed up the big monthly building rental in Malinta to be used for other operating expenses in the ministries. It also saved man-hours of the affected sub-zone leaders for other ministries and time for their family and personal life. The mergers also made the Sunday gatherings more exciting and livelier with the increased attendance and participation of the members.

Gumaoc sub-zone 2 hosted successful GC

Disciples Celebration Fellowship held its quarterly Grand Celebration, a very special one in recent months, with the theme “Moving Towards Our Existence” on August 6 successfully hosted by Sub-zone 2 in Gumaoc East, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan.

Exhortations
Rev. Joseph Pelareja preached from Acts 19:1-22 on the strategies of the vision. Pastors Levi Pelareja, Rey Doon, Robert Doon and Jun Legaspi also exhorted the members and guests.

Praise & Worship
The Worship Team of Sub-zone 5 handled the worship time in the morning backed-up by the tambourine dancers from Sub-zone 1. Sub-zone 3’s worship team with its all-teener, all-female band led the afternoon praise celebration. Not even the heat from the ceiling-less galvanized iron roofing of Sub-zone 2’s assembly hall diverted the church’s focus in worshiping God.

Presentations
The well-prepared, well-presented skits and interpretive dance by each Sub-zones made the GC a very special one in recent years, thanks to the effort of our youth and adult leaders in bringing out the God-given talents of the participating members.

Recognition
New regular attendees of our Sub-zones as well as Discipleship lesson completers were recognized and prayed by pastor Joseph and their respective disciplers and sub-zone pastors.

Acknowledgments
Thanks to pastors Jun Legaspi and Dax Estrada, leaders of Sub-zone 2, whose coordination and preparation contributed so much to the success of the GC. Thanks as well to everyone, from the volunteer cooks who prepared the delicious meals to the ushers to our sub-zone leaders to pastor Joseph. The highest gratitude, honor and praise is due to our God Almighty.

We'll go online 24/7

Our church wish to be permanently online to improve the communication between and among our leaders & members as well as with our ministry partners overseas. Travelling for leaders' meetings and submission of reports are very costly, both money and time-wise. To be online is the way to go to be effective and efficient in our church ministry.

Cyber ministry

We also pray to do a kind of cyber ministry, mainly internet evangelism, to reach out to a throng of online individuals who need the Lord. Thousands of regular cyber chatters or members of online communities are not only bored but also burdened by sin and other personal struggles. They need the Lord and should not be left bound to the kingdom of darkness. The church must take the fight to the enemy's own turf, in this case, the cyber chatrooms. The internet is a very effective medium to win thousands of souls for the cause of Christ.

Initial costs

Our major need is for five (5) units of personal computer (PC) for our church zones and a server at our main church. Each Pentium-4 class PC costs at least 15,000 pesos (about $285 @). If you would like to contribute to this noble venture, you may send your cash donations by Western Union to:

Grand Celebration held successfully

DCF Family successfully held its regular Grand Celebration at DCF Hall, Ignacio Doon street, Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, Philippines on December 11, 2005 with full participation from its leaders and members of its five zones.
Rev. Joseph Pelareja, our senior pastor, delivered a powerful message from the book of John, chapter ten on God’s call for us to multiply - to bear spiritual fruit in Christ as can be seen in the quality of our Christian walk and quantity of our church folks.

Program highlights

Highlights of the whole day celebration were the lively and awesome praise & worship led by pastors Normie Sipin and Jojo Aguas as well as the special presentations tendered and participated in by the local zones. The new batch of graduates of our School of Leadership II were also presented their certificates of completion and prayed over by our leaders. The whole church feasted not only on a veritable lunch but also on the tummy-filling afternoon refreshments as they keep the joyful fellowship with everyone.

Pastor Normie emceed at the morning celebration and pastor Rey Doon hosted the afternoon presentations. Before bidding their temporary byes by the end of the day, leaders and members posed for souvenir pictures by their respective zones.
